Lava flows from a volcano on a deserted island in the Pacific. The ocean fights it back. Stalemate ensues. We painted this piece with that battle in mind. We filled two cups - one with the colors of fire and the other with the colors of ice - and poured them at opposite ends of the canvas. They came together and ended their skirmish in the form you see. This canvas measures 10 inches x 20 inches.
